Information about preliminary financial results for the first half of 2017

The Board of Directors of Przedsiębiorstwo Przemysłu Spożywczego “PEPEES” S.A. (‘the Company’, ‘the Issuer’) hereby informs that, in connection with the termination, on 22 August 2017, of the aggregation of financial data carried out to prepare the consolidated semi-annual financial statements of the Company and of the Issuer's Group for the first half of 2017, the decision was made to publish preliminary financial results for the aforementioned period.
Preliminary financial results of the Issuer's Group for the first half of 2017 (the data for the first half of 2016 are shown in brackets):
- sales revenue: PLN 116,011 thousand (PLN 86,495 thousand)
- profit (loss) from operating activities: PLN 12,676 thousand (PLN 7,212 thousand)
- net profit (loss): PLN 8,192 thousand (PLN 5,179 thousand)

Preliminary financial results of Przedsiębiorstwo Przemysłu Spożywczego PEPEES S.A. for the first half of 2017:
- sales revenue: PLN 80,887 thousand (PLN 65,272 thousand)
- profit (loss) from operating activities: PLN 8,518 thousand (PLN 5,802 thousand)
- net profit (loss): PLN 6,200 thousand (PLN 4,748 thousand)

The Company’s Board of Directors hereby informs that the aforementioned financial results for the first half of 2017 were affected to the greatest extent by higher export sales in PEPEES outside the European Union (an increase by 51%) and the growth of sales in the key subsidiaries (PPZ Bronisław generated a 13% increase in sales and the sales growth in ZPZ Lublin was at the level of 19% as compared to the first half of 2016).
The Issuer would like to remind stakeholders that the final financial results for the first half of 2017 together with the certified auditor’s report on the review of such data will be disclosed in the extended consolidated financial statements for the first half of 2017 to be published on 31 August 2017.
