Information on the preliminary financial results for the 1st quarter of 2017

Zarząd Przedsiębiorstwa Przemysłu Spożywczego PEPEES S.A. (Company, Issuer) informs that with regard to the completion of the process of financial data aggregation on May 8, 2017 carried out for the purpose of preparation of the consolidated report of the Company and the Issuer’s Capital Group for the 1st quarter of 2017, it was decided to disclose the preliminary financial results for the above mentioned period to the public.
Results for the 1st quarter of 2017.
Preliminary financial results of the Issuer’s Capital Group for the 1st quarter of 2017 (data for the analogous period of 2016 were provided in brackets):
- sales revenue: PLN 56 926 thousand (PLN 37 313 thousand)
- operating profit: PLN 8 241 thousand (PLN 3 850 thousand)
- net profit attributable to the Company’s shareholders: PLN 5 363 thousand (PLN 2 662 thousand)
Preliminary financial results of Przedsiębiorstwo Przemysłu Spożywczego PEPEES S.A. for the 1st quarter of 2017:
- sales revenue: PLN 38 878 thousand (PLN 28 412 thousand)
- operating profit: PLN 5 450 thousand (PLN 3 237 thousand)
- net profit: PLN 3 861 thousand (PLN 2 546 thousand)
The Company’s Management Board explains that the significant profit increase recorded in the 1st quarter of 2017 was caused, among others, by the larger sales not only in the parent company, but also in the subsidiaries. In PPZ BRONISŁAW Company, the sales increase was 76% and the net result was almost five times larger. In ZPZ LUBLIN Company, the sales increase was 29% and the result was significantly improved – last year, the company recorded a net loss, this year, the result is positive.
At the same time, the Issuer reminds that the final financial results for the 1st quarter of 2017 will be provided in the extended consolidated quarterly report which will be published on May 15, 2017.
